Here at A Step Above Wellness Centre, one of our passions is to support new moms and aid them in their journey towards optimal health and well-being after pregnancy. We are proud to offer a range of specialized therapies tailored to meet the unique needs of new moms and facilitate their overall wellness.

Here are some ways we may be able to help new moms. 

Red Light Therapy

  1. Postpartum depression: Red light therapy has been shown to improve symptoms of depression, including postpartum depression. It helps stimulate the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a crucial role in mood regulation. This can help alleviate the symptoms of depression and improve overall mental well-being.
  2. Pain relief: New moms often experience various aches and pains, such as back pain, sore muscles, and breastfeeding discomfort. Red light therapy can help reduce inflammation and promote healing, which can provide pain relief and accelerate recovery.
  3. Skin rejuvenation: Pregnancy and childbirth can take a toll on the skin, leading to issues like stretch marks, scars, and pigmentation changes. Red light therapy has been shown to improve the appearance of these skin concerns by increasing collagen production, boosting cell regeneration, and reducing inflammation.

Theta Chamber:

Exercise With Oxygen Therapy:

Exercise with oxygen therapy (EWOT) is a beneficial practice for new moms, as it involves breathing in higher levels of oxygen-enriched air while exercising. This technique provides significant health advantages by enhancing the oxygen-carrying capacity of red blood cells and blood plasma.

  1. EWOT can help new moms by improving oxygen delivery to the body’s organs and tissues, reducing swelling and supporting faster healing and recovery after childbirth.
  2. Incorporating EWOT into an exercise routine can aid in recovering from stress-related illnesses that may have occurred during pregnancy or childbirth.
  3. By saturating the red blood cells and blood plasma with oxygen, EWOT can help prevent age-related diseases and support overall health and vitality.
  4. Additionally, EWOT can assist new moms in shedding post-pregnancy weight by stimulating the metabolism and potentially leading to weight loss.


PEMF Therapy:

PEMF therapy, or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, can be beneficial for new moms in several ways:
